Student Peer-Reviewer Expression of Interest
*The position of peer reviewers are only available for NZ students*
As a student peer-reviewer you further develop the critical appraisal skills acquired during medical school. You put this into practice by peer-reviewing colleagues' manuscripts. The NZMSJ Editorial Board will issue you a "NZMSJ: How to Review Guide".
You will review a range of manuscripts, from original research and literature reviews to feature and media review articles.
The work involved as a student peer-reviewer is intensive, requires timely communication and can be challenging at times, but is highly rewarding. Some students have gone on to peer-review for international medical student journals and some are now reviewing for mainstream international scientific and medical journals.
If interested in being a student peer reviewer, please complete the expression of interest form below and we will contact you as soon as possible.
You may also be asked to submit a Curriculum Vitae.
